Job Description

Working alongside the Senior stakeholders and Project Managers to design and deliver Network architecture that meet the organisations objectives. Experience in the production of technical design documentation, working within a multi-disciplined, multi-supplier environment, planning, and delivering quality results within agreed timescales. 

Key Responsibilities  

  • Understand connectivity challenges including On-Premises, Cloud and Internet based environments 
  • knowledgeable of new technology solutions and produce network designs incorporating these where possible 
  • Be able to review customers’ existing Network connectivity challenges and provide guidance 
  • Define strategies and introduce roadmaps to enhance the organization's connectivity, based on requirements, costs and technologies 
  • Provide Network and security related governance and assurance 
  • Good knowledge of a broad range of technology solutions, within complex enterprises. 
  • Experience across full project lifecycle, from initiation to decommissioning.  
  • Liaison with business governance functions e.g. Senior Management, Security, Enterprise Architecture, Service Acceptance etc.  
  • Strong knowledge and be able to demonstrate experience of Cloud connectivity solutions and common challenges when migrating from On-Premises to the cloud.  
  • Extensive prior experience in Datacentre networking including Migration challenges 
  • Experience working in a multi-vendor environment  
  • Extensive experience across traditional and cloud network architectures incorporating routing, security and best practices. 
  • High-Level and Low-Level Design experience 
  • Be capable of working across multiple clients at the same time 

Qualifications

 

  • Routing and switching knowledge (Up to CCNP level) 
  • Experience of Enterprise level networks and devices 
  • Security technologies (Firewalls, Proxies, WAF’s, NSG’s etc) 
  • Architectural frameworks such as TOGAF, NODAF, Archimate etc 
  • Datacentre migration/Co-Location experience  
  • Experience and knowledge in SD-WAN/MPLS technologies 
  • ExpressRoute and AWS Direct connect knowledge 
  • Azure Architecture (Network, IaaS, PaaS)  
  • AWS Architecture (Well-architected framework)  
  • Infrastructure services – e.g. IAM, DNS, Azure AD. 

Desirable 

  • Current SC Clearance, or willing to undergo clearance.
