Driving and assuring quality in the migration from rigid legacy systems to Microsoft Exchange Online - enriching digital infrastructure for all National Highways staff.

As the UK government agency responsible for maintaining and improving England’s motorways and major A-roads, National Highways encompass a sizeable workforce and associated number of staff mailboxes.

With a view to fulfil a significant part of their digital transformation journey, National Highways were looking to significantly improve productivity, operational efficiency, and enhance their security posture by migrating away from rigid legacy systems. With a pragmatic approach from the very beginning of the project lifecycle, Netcompany managed rapidly changing stakeholder requirements to successful migrate more than 7000 staff mailboxes within the agreed budget and strict time constraints.

Following the migration, 100% of National Highways staff are now consuming the email service via a rich featured modernised exchange online infrastructure. National Highways have since seen increased productivity levels, greater accessibility, enhanced security and an improved integration into the M365 platform alongside lower costs and a faster return on investment.
