Netcompany sponsors the Northwestern European Regional Contest (NWERC) in programming 2022
Netcompany supports the development of the next generation of emerging IT talents through various initiatives and partnerships. Most recently we participated as one of the main sponsors at the Northwestern European Regional Contest (NWERC) where IT students from across Europe were tested in their coding skills as they competed for this year’s title.
At Netcompany we aim to continuously invest in digital upskilling and support the development of the IT talents of tomorrow. That is why we were pleased to participate as one of the main sponsors at the Northwestern European Regional Contest (NWERC) in programming 2022, which was held between the 25th and the 27th of November at the Delft University of Technology.
At the NWERC, participants from across the Northwestern part of Europe were tested in their coding skills as they competed for this year’s title. In total, 150 teams from universities from the UK, Germany, Benelux and the Nordic countries participated.
All teams had qualified from a previous contest in their respective countries. One of those teams was the Balloon Animals from Copenhagen University who won this year’s Danish Championship in programming and thereby advanced to the NWERC.
Many teams excelled during the competition and received high scores – one of those being the Danish programming champions, the Balloon Animals from Copenhagen University, who won a bronze medal at NWERC.
This year’s title as winners of the NWERC went to the British team Trinity’s Trinity from Cambridge University.
We are happy to support IT students and provide a platform where we can celebrate emerging talents and they can create meaningful connections across borders and universities.
We are glad to see so much talent and enthusiasm gathered in one place – and we look forward to continuing to support the development of all young IT students.
