Challenged early on
With a bachelor’s degree in Informatics specialising in design and development from Østfold University College, Husein wanted to put into practice what he had learned from his studies. Only a month after joining Netcompany, he had the opportunity to do so at the project for the Norwegian Medicines Agency. As a recent graduate, he encountered several challenging tasks, but with the trust and support of the rest of the team, he overcame them. “I have always been able to reach out to my colleagues and get help when needed – even across teams.”
Husein works with a skilled team of colleagues with different competencies. However, that does not prevent him from taking on new tasks outside of his own field of expertise. “There is a strong focus on developing individual competencies and sharing knowledge within the team. We prioritise on-the-job training and sharing our expertise so everyone who wants to learn and grow their skillset can do so.”
Creating value
Since 2020, Netcompany has been working as the strategic digitalisation partner for the Norwegian Medicines Agency. Since then, Husein and his team have been involved in streamlining work across the entire organisation. Together with the rest of the team, Husein often works from the client’s office, where they collaborate and share knowledge. “The close collaboration between the Norwegian Medicines Agency and us makes it easier to deliver what they need while also gaining valuable insights that can enhance our competencies.”
Laying the foundation for the Norwegian Medicines Agency’s social mission
Today, Husein and the other developers are working on the second part of the delivery for the Norwegian Medicines Agency, where several case-handling systems have been replaced. “An important part of our work is ensuring that the client can see results throughout the process.” Going forward, Husein and his team will continue to facilitate collaboration and good digital solutions. “By doing this, we will ensure that the Norwegian Medicines Agency can continue to carry out its social mission in the best possible way.”
