Your mentor challenges you to think about the next step in your career and really listens to you.

Tessa van de Krol studied Industrial Design at Delft University of Technology and holds a master's degree in Design for Interaction. After graduating she started at Netcompany as an Interaction designer and analyst. A self-chosen double role that gave her the opportunity to get to know different disciplines and applications within Netcompany at the start of her career.

Scanning different disciplines

Netcompany is my first employer after my studies. I started in the APS team (Application Services team) where I got the opportunity to work in multidisciplinary teams for different clients. Besides the analysis and design work I have also tested a lot. This allowed me to really develop myself broadly. The atmosphere in the teams was always open and close, there was room for fun, interest for each other and cooperation was of great importance. Actually, that's true of all the teams I've worked in so far, which is typical of Netcompany's culture.

Actively contributing to your career

After a year of working in the APS team, I started working full-time on a larger project, s a project with colleagues from Denmark and Poland. For me this was the logical next step in my career. I wanted to be involved in a long-term (international) project from the start and I got that opportunity.
Within Netcompany you will have the opportunity to do what you are interested in. The fact that everyone has a mentor certainly contributes to this. Your mentor challenges you to think about the next step in your career and really listens to you. In this way, you actively contribute to the development of your career within Netcompany.
