What is Data Science?
To: 26th of April at 19:00
As many have heard, ITU launches the first Data Science degree in Denmark this summer, as they hope to meet the growing demand for specialists in handling large amounts of data. But what is Data Science exactly? There is much debate among scholars and practitioners about what it is, and what it isn’t. Does it deal with data mining or machine learning? What about predictive analysis? And how is it different from statistics and does it involve coding?
All of this - and more - will be answered during this Data Science event at ITU on April 26th, 2017 in Auditorium 4 at 17:00! The event is hosted in collaboration between Netcompany and ITU Innovators, and here we will try to give our take on what Data Science is and why it matters.
As an extra treat, Natalie Schluter, head of the new study programme, will join us too so if you’re curious about the new programme, you should not miss out on this! We will serve food and drinks after the event, and finish off around 19:00.
